The Family Chomp is a group of artists who live in Central Connecticut whose drive to create art led to the development of this website. The website is a collective of their various mediums and an outlet to share their art with a larger audience. The group includes a writer and three painters who experiment with other mediums such as photography.
The goals of this collective are different for each artist. Some want to break into a business such as children’s book illustration, while others just want to make their mark on the world. One wants to sell some art so he has some more free space in his studio.
All artists in the group admit art because they have to. They are forced to by their conscience to take thoughts and bring them to life. The artists also have the same feelings of creating are as a form of expression that comes naturally.
The collective members are inspired often by simple things like animals, movies, and comfortable moments. Others admit that family plays an important role in their creations.
While the artists have no major agendas to shape our society with art they admit that art plays a very important role in the world we live in. The artists have no delusions of grandeur to be world changers, however they agree that art can be something that can ignite ideas and many times in history only an idea is needed to create change.
The Family Chomp admits new members after a collective decision making process, please contact with a query before sending any kind of work.
The Chomp is also always interested in the musical world and our members have experience in band merchandise and accessories such as t-shirts and show posters. Any bands are encouraged to contact us.
